Google has come out with its picks for the top Android apps of the year and its choices might surprise you.

The company published its end-of-year lists highlighting the best of Google Play, and it rewarded language-learning app Drops with its top honor.

Drops, which can help you learn words in 31 different languages, was named the best app of 2018 by the company. Battle Royale favorite PUBG Mobile was awarded best game, as well fan favorite in the category.
