A gentle Japanese cat is delighting the internet with its soft swats and compassionate care as its owner dangles a cherry in front of its face.

The video has received more than 45,000 retweets and 57,000 likes at the time of writing. 

The cat's owner, @kyoumetan on Twitter, also shared a similar clip that they filmed a year ago. So, clearly this feline is just a gentle soul. Or they really love cherries.
